Term Reflection

Image
This term was a fruitful experience, I was able to develop many of my skills and add a few of them. The first one was AutoCAD, I think I reached a good introduction to how to use it and how to implement it in my future DMU projects, I learned how to use the laser cutting machines and workshop. scaling, drawing, etc. I think the 3d physical outcome was a successful piece. All thanks to this software. Throughout the year, I also developed my SketchUp skills, and I think I have a good foundation on it and can sort myself out, However, I do not see it as professional software. Consequently, I will move on to other types of software, but it never hurts to learn a wide range of tools. Another skill that I developed this year is Architectural drawing, I think I can conceptualize things better now in my mind and I can communicate it through my drawings at a fairly understandable level. Moreover, I feel more comfortable with a pen and hesitate much less. Thirdly, I think I developed a broader

Website updates

Firstly, I added a new page linked to the Portfolio. I think removed this banner that said welcome to my site. Then I modified my introduction and included what I learnt this year and how it would help in my continuation route. I then uploaded all of the design boards that I talked about in the last post Then I created a now gallery and positioned it in the centre of the page. Then I added the text "Design Boards". Then I added a video of my 3d outcome and a link to a 3d manageable model prototype that I made using a scanning process. I then added all the design boards. Then I changed the background in to something more related to this term.

Designboards: process and outcome

For this process, I used the software photoshop. I first brought one of my ketchup outcomes and removed its background then I changed the opacity and increased the exposure, and then I added my name, year, Title of project, and course module name. I then moved on to the rest of the design boards, I wanted to do a white background at first but I thought it would be too simple.  Then I found a background on Unsplash that I copied and pasted and added my logo to it. Then I imported my concept drawings and introduced the project, then I contoured the pictures. Then I kept importing each picture by itself for the 2d and repeated this step many times. for the site plan, I did the same steps as before. Overall I think this process was quite easy, I think I learned the basics of Photoshop as a software. Outcomes:
