final project: Smart Objective.

After some thought, I think this project is going to be a perfect portrait of helping the people struggling in seismic areas.

                                                                    Collapsed building.

Back home, we were told in class to go under steady tables in case of an earthquake, as that will protect us even if we the building falls down, my idea is, why not take the same concept and apply to big rooms, where we are going to make steady structure like tables , but they will be bigger to fit a whole room. That way, even if the building falls down people will be safer and the authorities will know where they are specifically, for them to be saved.

                                                             Imlil town before earthquake.

Subsequently, my final project will be about a traditional family house that we usually see in the Moroccan countryside, it will be made out of mud, clay, rammed earth, rocks and other regional materials. It will be located in one of the most endangered villages in Morocco called Imlil. For this project, I will try to make it as realistic as possible, therefore I will make a prototype out of these materials and some plans of the 2 floors ground floor and first floor which is the most common in these homes. With a brief research article about the area demography factors and it's typography. Finally, all of this will be done by the first week of December.

  1. AN interesting project with many possible outcomes. Now you need to use the time to research the project, show examples of how other architects, engineers, and planners have managed to create solutions to building in areas prone to seismic activity
